Doug’s Dinner

My husband wanted me to recreate the steamed salmon I cooked in class the week for him and cook him some steamed broccoli for dinner.  I made my own steaming liquid from chicken broth, onions and a mix of seasonings. I then laid the salmon on the lettuce just like in class and cooked it.  I put it all together and served it.  He ate about 1/2 of it then noticed the thicker part was on the rare side!  I felt horrible!  Luckily the steaming liquid was still on the stove and I heated up back up and finished cooking the salmon!  DINNER SAVED!!!

    Nothing to be ashamed of. The salmon was a little rare on the first attempt and that was because the filet was larger than what you were cooking with in class. It tasted great!
